Just read an awesome post on all druid instance runs that took place before the Burning Crusade came out. They sound like real fun and of course druids are the only class to be able to achieve this feat along with paladins. That is why I am proposing all paladin BT raids from now on. Come on! Put the challenge back in your guild’s raiding schedule!
Two or three prot tanks, loads of spelladins, retadins and loladins running amok around Illidan… What a sight that would be. The guild leader or the player who recorded the raid would be and instant hit in the World of Warcraft community.
We have recently had the rogue who tanked Illidan. Why not go one step further? On a more serious level, I think it would be possible. Some fights have mechanics that would make it nigh on impossible. Perhaps Illidan is one of these as a warlock is really needed to tank Illidan at certain points in the fight. But how about SSC or TK? Still challenging and a lot more doable. It would make for a more relaxed raid and a lot of screaming on ventrilo about “HAMMMMMMMERRRRR! … KILLING BLOW OMGGGGGG!” At least it would if I were in the raid…
I would set this raid up but unfortunately I only have a 70 mage and shammy and I doubt my mage would be great at tanking Illidan. Then again if they continue to buff ice armour and give us iceblock on a 2 sec cd. Somehow I don’t see this happening so I leave it to you, my readers, to take the initiative and carry out a full pally raid! If you succeed in downing any bosses in SSC or TK or even just make a video of an attempt I am willing to give you a prize! It will be a surprise for the winner but I guarantee it will be worth it!
On a more personal note, I had my best night of arena last night with my mage since I returned following my 2 month break. We started a new 5v5, reaching 1700 and my 2v2 went well, with us beating lock/priest, druid/rogue and other hard combos to boost it up to 1800. We should be 2k this week if my skills continue to come back.
My fledgeling shadow priest is still 37 and I have yet again run out of double xp. Oh how I wish I had linked accounts for 3x the amount of xp…
