Level 60! Finally! After all this time and effort I am finally there. The hard work has been worth it and the long, long hours have only just begun
I have got quite a bit of gear in the past couple of days and can also now wear my pvp set (2/8 atm). 60 does not seem to be that different to level 59, apart from massive pvp queues
It does of course mean that I can do end-game. I got into a group for ZG today and was thrilled at the thought of getting an epic! We were a poorly organised group, however, and only downed the snake boss after 2 wipes! We then proceeded to wipe on the bats even before the boss and by that time everyone could see that it would only end in tears and huge repair bills so proceeded to leave
It did however, give me an insight into how raids work and the intricacies of pulling mobs and symboling them. It also showed just how important are tanks that can hold aggro and healers that don’t miss every time. My end-game journey has only just begun and I can see that the road will be long and winding, but hey-ho I managed to get to level 60 didn’t I?!
On the pvp front, I am still rank 7 but aiming for rank 8 this week to get my next 2 pieces of my level 60 pvp set. My first bg at 60 gave me a bit of a shock as I was continually two shotted by hunters, mages and even warriors! Also I don’t like the long wait for the bgs but I suppose that the AV queue being shorter atm is a big plus.
The guild is not going too well. We have gone from 110 members to just 88 in one week as many people start to leave. The leader left a few weeks ago and since then everyone has just quabbled and argued over guild policies; from class leaders to raid nights; you name it, they have argued over it. I am thinking of leaving and joining a guild that is already having success in ZG so that I can get a bit more experienced in level 60 end-game. I know that you will say that ZG is not really end-game but we all have to start somewhere
So there you have it. Over 30 posts detailing my progress to level 60. It has been a tough journey and I would like to thank… No? Not the speech? Ok then
Suffice to say that I have had a lot of fun so far and am looking forward to my adventures at level 60!

Grats on 60! I just got to 60 on Thanksgiving Day myself, so I can relate.
I had a positive level-60 PvP experience as a warrior. I avoided AB because I figured I’d be under-geared. Instead, I spent some time questing to buy the Frostwolf gear I wanted (Frostbite, The Immovable Object, Don Julio’s Ring), and also ran Scholo and was lucky enough to get Helm of Valor (Tier 0) on my first time though.
Then I went into AV and found that I could finally tank the Marshals (with good healing, of course). The best, though, was tanking Vann start to finish in an AV win - that was sweet.
I, too, am struggling up the rank ladder. Blood Guard / Rank 7 was achieved today; and I’m sitting almost halfway to Legionnaire / Rank 8. I can make Legionnaire by next Tuesday if the patch doesn’t stop me, which would put me in solid Tier 0 (or equivalent PvP gear) in every slot except shoulder (which is a decent blue). After seeing the PvP Champion Helm and Shoulders, I sure wish I had time to reach them - they not only look incredibly cool, their stats spank even the Tier 0 warrior gear.
Post-patch I can work on getting some decent enchants that I can afford, and play my neglected alts. And take a bit of a break from such heavy PvP action while I assess the new system.
DING WOOT!!
Congrats! Take a seat, relax, and wait for BC, unless you want to keep chomping away at your 0.5 set or the quest upgrades for those pieces.
Grats on the Frist 60..
for me it was a long tinmw ago my druid dinged 60 but i can still remember the thrill it gave me doing some bg at the time..
now i hardly do them any more becasue i`m a fully resto specced druid with only one purpose being the best healer in a raid
i`ve seen almost all raid instances from Ubrs to zg and mc to Bwl and fully cleared it.. but i will alwasy remember the first time i went in a full raid and i still enjoy every moment of a raid.
sad this is though u need a good guild to progress in the raid laddr and get epix on the way up. on our server its either u are in a good guild or ur in a guild that sux big time.. so choose whise.
any way with TBC comming a lot of guilds will disband or get in trouble so if u enjoy pvp till then have a nice seat after u installed the BC have a look around u and join a nice guild while leveling u will see all the wonders of the biggest end- game instances and it will take u some time to reach 70 so dont worry about that 2 much
pff i made a long reply basiclly i want to say grats and have more funn

What can I say I can’t resist a link…
I’m impressed your guild’s decay has lasted over a week! When our leader left, the guild broke up pretty much straight away (as in, within the hour for all those who knew, which was most members as we were supposed to be raiding molten core, HAHAHAHAA) formed another, which also died, and now they’re all scattered…
Anyway congratulations on 60! XD
